The October Date
October is one of the easiest months to figure out where to take a date. No boring dinners, no hit or miss movies, no Thanksgiving dinners with your extended family. Check out some October-specific ideas below.
- Halloween parties are of course #1 on the list. Not only can you see your sexy date in something hot, but you can see how they react around your friends in a low-stress environment. If you are meeting his/her friends for the first time, you don’t have to be nervous about strangers judging you, especially if your act matches your costume.
- Scary movies are always good. You get to have your girl grab your arm during the suspense scene, your guy will show a more sensitive side when you see them scared witless, and you will both get to laugh together about how cheesy/good the movie was. Plus, nobody likes to be alone after a big scare.
- Fall walks are perfect if this is happening in your part of the world. It’s not a November bundled-up cold, and it’s not a summer sweat-fest. The leaves are changing, the weather is a bit unpredictable (spontaneous huddling together for shelter is a good thing), and you can still avoid the “stay-puff marshmallow look”. The silence of nature is always a good time to force the conversation to flow. Ask them what their favorite Fall memory is.
- Nightclubs in October are always fun. Everyone is settled in from the back-to-reality of September, and they aren’t worried about plans for the holidays yet. It’s a good break month.
- Go window shopping! October is the perfect time to gather hints about what your significant other might like for Christmas. That way you’ll be ready when the November holiday shopping season starts, and will definitely get that hard-to-find item shipped to you in time. Plus, the holidays are always less stressful when you’re done shopping for that someone special.
- The beach is still a good option. For walks. Unless you live on a tropical island.
